What is Crystal Therapy?
Crystal therapy is an energy healing therapy that works with an animal's subtle energy fields to help address physical, emotional, mental and spiritual problems. Crystal therapy does not involve any pressure, manipulation or massage.
Crystal therapy has been used in many different cultures since ancient times. Crystals emit natural stable energy vibrations which affect an animal's energy fields, and using specifically selected crystals helps to remove energy blockages within the chakras, meridians and subtle bodies to balance, heal and harmonize the body, mind and spirit.

What animals can have Crystal Therapy?
Crystal therapy is suitable for pets, working animals, livestock and even wild animals.
Owners with animals with diabetes may need to check their insulin levels as crystal therapy may alter their requirement. You may wish to discuss this with your vet.
What happens in a Crystal Therapy session?
Before Crystal Therapy can be given to any animal, you will need to contact its veterinary surgeon to obtain permission for the therapy to begin. It is usually better to advise the vet that the therapy may involve more than one session. Before I begin Crystal Therapy I will require you to sign a declaration confirming that a vets permission has been sought and obtained. If the vet requires information about the therapy I am more than happy to discuss it with them.
When I attend the first therapy session I will undertake a full consultation with you in respect of your animal.
A Crystal Therapy session can take up to one hour, including the consultation, although animals usually require less time in crystal placements than people do.
There should be a calm, quiet and secure area where the animal feels relaxed and comfortable, for the therapy to take place.
A therapy session involves placing crystals on or around the animal's body in specific and non-invasive arrangements. It can also involve subtle body cleansing using a pendulum or crystal wand.
Because horses do not tend to lie often, and may move around during the session, I do not place crystals around them. For a horse I will hold the crystals in place.
Dogs are usually happy, after their initial intrigue, to lie with the crystals around them, as are cats and pigs.
For caged or tanked animals crystals will be placed close to the ‘house'.
When your animal relaxes into the therapy they should feel peaceful and will often give signs of it working by sighing, yawning, twitching and falling asleep.
At no time will the therapy be forced upon the animal.
Please remember that Crystal therapy is not a substitute for traditional veterinary treatment , it is complementary to it, and as such you must obtain veterinary treatment when and where necessary .
The veterinary Surgery Act of 1966 prohibits anyone other than a qualified veterinary surgeon from treating animals, including diagnosis of ailments and giving of advice on such diagnosis. However the healing of animals by contact healing, by the laying on of hands or distant healing is legal. However the Protection of Animals Act 1911 requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a veterinary surgeon the owner must obtain this. To give emergency First Aid to animals for the purpose of saving life or relieving pain is permissible under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 Schedule 3. |
